Travel bug bit early when Jane’s parents packed the family’s Triumph Herald with
two children and a nanny and drove through France and over the Pyrenees for
holidays in Spain, Italy and Switzerland. When Jane and her brother were adolescent their mother took them on a camping tour of America from Niagara to New Orleans where they bedded down with the alligators in the Everglades. Later she travelled overland to India, via Afghanistan, on public transport (and one camel).
More recently she caught dengue fever in Vietnam.
